Study Completion
At Paragon Rx Clinical, we make participating in clinical research simple, safe, and transparent. Here’s what to expect if you join one of our paid clinical trials in Southern California.
Step 1: Sign Up to Be Considered
Complete a quick online form or call us to express your interest. Your information helps us match you to a clinical trial that best fits your health profile and background. You may receive text messages and emails from our study team (not bots).
Step 2: Preliminary Phone Screening
One of our experienced team members will contact you for a brief eligibility phone screening. We’ll ask questions about your medical history, current medications, and general health to see if you meet the study criteria.
Step 3: Schedule Appointment & Second Phone Screen
If you qualify after the initial call, we’ll schedule your first in-person visit. We may also do a second phone screen to verify additional details. Our goal is to help you understand what to expect before you come in.
Step 4: Screening Day Visit
At your first site visit, you’ll meet our clinical research team. We’ll walk you through the details of the study, explain the potential risks and benefits, and answer all your questions. You’ll then decide whether to join the study by signing the informed consent form. No procedures will begin until this is signed.
The screening visit is where we collect key information to determine if you are fully eligible for the study.
This visit may take up to one hour or longer, depending on study requirements. You may undergo:
- Blood tests and lab work
- Vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, heart rate)
- A physical exam
- A review of your medical history
- Additional tests such as below, depending on the studies:
- Imaging studies (MRI, CT scan, FibroScan)
- Endoscopy or colonoscopy
- ECG/EKG
- DEXA scan
These procedures are standard in clinical trial screening and vary depending on what the study sponsor requires.
Step 5: Follow-Up Study Visits
Once you’re officially enrolled, you’ll return for scheduled study visits. These follow-up visits may span a few weeks to 52 weeks or longer, depending on the clinical trial protocol. During these visits, you may:
- Receive study medication or placebo
- Have regular labs or imaging
- Track your symptoms or response via daily entries
- Meet with study doctors and study coordinators on a regular basis
- Some visits may be conducted over the phone
These are critical to ensuring the safety and effectiveness of the investigational product.
Step 6: Study Completion Visit
This is your final visit and the last time you’ll need to come into the clinic for this study.
- We’ll conduct final assessments, collect data, and thank you for your contribution.
- You may receive compensation for your time and travel, if applicable.
- At this point, your participation in the clinical trial officially ends
