Chronic Lower Back Pain

Chronic Lower Back Pain Study Now Pre-Screening in Santa Ana and Garden Grove.

Chronic low back pain usually lasts 12+ weeks and often feels like a dull, aching, or burning discomfort in the lower spine that may spread to the hips or buttocks. Stiffness after sitting or first thing in the morning is common, and pain can worsen with bending, lifting, or twisting. Muscle tightness or spasms can limit movement. Sleep may be disrupted, and flare-ups can follow activity.

Current Treatments:

First-line options often include acetaminophen or NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen, naproxen) for pain relief, along with physical therapy focused on mobility, core strength, and posture/body-mechanics training. These can help many people, though relief may be incomplete—our study offers access to an investigational approach at no cost. Use medications as directed; talk with your clinician to see what’s right for you.
